On 20th May,2020 Cyclone Amphan has totally ransacked districts of South 24 parganas , North 24 parganas , East Midnapore & several parts of Kolkatta . This century’s strongest cyclone in the Bay of Bengal wrecked havoc in large parts of the state and devastated South Bengal in a way that was not seen in many decades.

With no power & water supply , thousands trees uprooted , razing a substantial amount of property to the ground & hundreds of millions losing livelihoods & their house devastated and are on the streets and each of these men and women have to deal with covid-19 as well ,  support & standing besides them is what we are seeking for.

Bengal is not a remote island that can be left to fend for itself. If there could be global synergy for the Australian Bushfires or Amazon fire, there is no reason why the world can’t come together for Bengal. Yes, there is recession everywhere. Yes, our resources are stretched at the moment – still seeking whatever one can to help those in need.

The monks & Volunteers of "Bharat Sevashram Sangha" have been working overtime by providing cooked food , food packets & medicines .

The Sangha deputed its relief team at its Ashram – Gangasagar , kakdip , Mahendraganj , Pathar Pratima , Namkhana and about 40 schools situated in coastal areas of South 24 parganas to provide shelter and food to the sufferers. Currently 10000 peoples took shelters in their units and getting cooked food & medicine.

We fervently request everyone to extend their helping hand as to stand by these hapless sufferers.

Fund raised will be directly go to “Bharat sevashram sangha” relief & rehabilation work of the sufferers of Bengal worst Cyclone “Amphan”
