I am raising funds to support the recovery of my nephew Bhagrath Pegu. We come from Kulamua village, which is located in Majuli Assam. We belong to the Mising tribal community. Our home is very remote, and lacks basic health facilities. My nephew worked in Mumbai as a security officer, he was forced to come back because of the lockdown. When he came back, he started to fall sick, he complained of weakness, he kept vomiting and then his legs started swelling up. We took him to the closest hospital which was in Lakhimpur district, where there was not enough staff to support his recovery. As his condition deteriorated, we took him to Dibrugarh where he was finally diagnosed with kidney failure which had even caused an infection in his liver. We have started him on treatment and are seeking funds to support his recovery. One day in the ICU costs him around 10,000. Apart from this the tests, procedures and other expenses are also piling up.
We are farmers, who grow rice and dal which we mainly use for our own consumption. I personally work in an NGO named Ayang Trust in majuli. Whatever savings I have, I have already spent to help my nephew. We are desperately seeking support which can save the life of my nephew. Please support us and help save his life. If you cannot donate individually, please share it with your friends and family and help spread the word so that we can reach our goal. Thank you for your time and support.
