Then came a storm. A super cyclone stronger than any other that people of southern bengal can possibly remember.
People like us are gasping after seeing the strength of the cyclone as we see so many uprooted trees / electric poles and shattered glasses around the high-rise buildings. Truth is, we cannot possibly imagine the sheer destruction it did to the people who are living near coasts. The far cries of the children and the homeless people are enough to drive anyone crazy.
In the last few months B.D.S.P.Trust, with the help of you people, have tried to support the underprivileged people with food support. But today the situation calls for more.
B.D.S.P.Trust, is planning to reach World Heritage Sundarban (Nafargunj, Garchumuk, Gosoba etc.) Canning-I, Canning-II, Mathurapur-I, Mathurapur-II, Joynagar-I, Joynagar-II, Kultali, Basanti, Gosaba, Kakdwip, Sagar / Ganga Sagar, Namkhana, Patharpratima(in the depths of destroyed villages of Sunderbans) with post Amphan aid and providing further food support, Shelter, Medicine Distribution, Sanitization Work etc. in South 24 Parganas (Birth place of B.D.S.P.Trust).
Our team aim to provide emergency relief items to more than 3000 families in West Bengal and we have reached 116 families so far. Our relief items include dry food rations, mosquito nets, aqua tabs for disinfecting water, sleeping mats and bed sheets. Furthermore, we are planning to distribute educational and hygiene kits to affected rural resident in affected area. We have a long and rich experience of responding to natural disasters and conflicts.
We appeal to you to support our response to Cyclone Amphan and help the families affected by the storm. Your contributions would support the rehabilitation of poor and vulnerable communities whose livelihoods and property have suffered damage during the storm.

Each individual contribution, pertaining to tree plantation, shall provide life to a single new tree , thereby helping BARUIPUR DUTTAPARA SHYAMA PUJA TRUST to redecorate Sundarbans in a new way to make it again a World Heritage, keeping in mind the principles of United Nations SDGs & the 17 SDGs as followed by the Government of India.
