My name is Vijay Gummadi, senior manager at Anion Healthcare Services, based out of Hyderabad. One of our employees Miss Banala Mounika met with an accident on 13th Feb 2020 while crossing the road right in front of our office building. The rider who hit her was riding a bike triples and was at high speed. She had a very severe head injury, leading to bilateral frontal EDH (Epidural Hematoma). She was rushed to Aster Prime Hospital, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.
Doctors performed emergency surgery on both sides of the brain to stop internal bleeding and remove blood clots in the brain. Medically the procedure is recognized as B/L FTP CRANIOTOMY + EVACUATION OF B/L EDH. She has been kept in the ICU for 15 days observation period.
Currently patient is on MV (Minute Ventilation) Support and Inotrope for Hypotension.
Until now, we've spent about Rs. 400000 on her treatment with contributions from colleagues & family. But in the next few days we need Rs. 14, 71, 500/- for further treatment, day-to-day medication and hospital charges. Her family is uneducated and under privileged, with no proper awareness on proceedings nor the funds to support her treatment.
She is a young, bubbly girl who wanted to pursue her career and dreams with no idea of what fate had for her. While we all are doing our best in terms of finances and prayers, we realized that will not be enough. We need more financial assistance and possibly any expert neuro opinions for further treatment and her recovery.
