My mother, Balaka Ghosh, age 63 years, is battling metastatic Endometrium cancer since the last 2 years. We have been treating her with chemotherapy for the last 2 years in which she also underwent 2 surgical procedures. We have exhausted all our funds and insurance sum. However, the disease doesn't seem to come under control.
The only option that can save her now is immunotherapy, which costs around 4.5 lac per session(Pembrolizumab, 200 ml vial) and requires at least 4 sessions, once every 21 days. Insurance also doesn't cover immunotherapy. We do not have the capacity to fund so much in such a short span of time as we are a family of 4 surviving on 1 person's salary, living on rent in Mumbai.
We will use these funds to pay for the immunotherapy treatment which needs to start very soon as the cancer is spreading rapidly.
