 Katihar is one of the districts among the 38 districts in Bihar which was located in northeast part of the "Seemanchal" area. It is one among 117 aspiration district of "NITI" project where we "Piramal Foundation" Fellows are working for the development of government schools "Education" system. As the district has its challenge as flood prone zone in which about 14 out of 16 blocks is submerged in the rainy season from Ganga and Mahananda river and the properties of government schools are affected mostly like the book kept in the schools and houses of poor students are devastated. so, we Fellows want to work on" BALA(Building as a Learning Aid)" so that the school's walls itself reflect as a learning tool so that students can learn while playing, wondering and even without books with a joyful environment. Also, it helps in the Retention of students because of colourfully painted walls but we are facing financial support as a major challenge so, we have decided to approach through this medium. Those who want to help and work for children to uplift their educational condition can support us through contribution.we will be highly obliged as you support us in making our dreams of "Transforming Katihar government schools" comes true.
