My mother-in-law Mrs. Bala (59 years) has been diagnosed with Brain tumour and Pulmonary embolism on 30th of October 2020.
She was not showing any symptoms previously also not having any major health problem till then so it was a real shock to us.
Overnight, on 2nd of November she got a severe head and chest ache hence we have admitted her at Vijaya hospital Chennai.
She was kept under ventilator support and underwent treatment for pulmonary embolism and brain tumour for a month and we spent around 15 lakhs Rupees for the same. During the course of treatment she got Pneumonia due to hospital environment and continuous ventilator support hence she undergone Tracheotomy procedure on 16th of November in order to avoid ventilator support and to supply oxygen directly to her lungs.
Doctors managed to cure pulmonary embolism and major components of Pneumonia and discharged on 2nd of December and asked us to admit after 10 days to plan for brain tumour surgery.
Unfortunately her BP went low last Friday and admitted in the same hospital again and currently undergoing treatment, we hope doctor will plan for brain tumour surgery and require emergency fund for completing the surgery (roughly around 5-6 lakhs rupees)
