5 days old preterm baby, is on mechanical ventilator, due to pneumothorax, Hyaline membrane disease and laryngeal web requiring surgery. Though preterm the prognosis is good with surgery for laryngeal web as it is the only cause for airway obstruction and causing respiratory failure.
Rest all parameters are in normal limits. The chances of recovery are high.
Parents are private school teachers and their financial condition is poor amidst covid crisis. Hospital expenses are huge, approximately costing 15 lakhs .
