Small kids, not knowing to read the destination, knew it was their bus to ride, just by seeing Babu Mama standing at the front door of the bus. His whistle, a sign to the driver to start or stop the bus, was unmistakable. Rain or shine, Babu was there to serve the kids.
His service benefited numerous parents, who were not be able to drop/ pickup their kids to/ from school. They were sure that Babu would take good care of their kids. Wasn’t this the most secure way of travel?
Today, most kids ride to school in cars, school buses or other private transportation. Babu was always there, to help the kids get to school, dealing with the chaos of taking a ride on the school bus.
It goes without saying too much, scores of children have benefited from his dedicated service, over the years.
Today, having retired from his service, he lives with his daughter and wife. He has partially lost vision in both the eyes. The family is going through difficult times.
We would like to help the family stabilize and also gather funds, primarily for Babu's eye treatment and other expenses, as well.
To start with, he can be evaluated by a good eye doctor and a treatment plan can be developed, to help restore his vision, to the best extent possible.
From all those children, who felt safe & secure under his care, this would be a small attempt, to return it, in his time of need.
Please donate generously, for a good cause. Also, forward this request to your family and friends, who have known & wish to help Babu Jadhav.
Thank you, in advance.
