My name is Saranya and i am here to fund-raise for my father Ayyappan. He is a energetic person who normally prefers walking and riding bicycle at the age of 68 years. He has been diagnosed with the Mitral Valve Leakage during 12-Aug-2018. Following that he tried to resolve it through medications but end up with the Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) surgery (cost - Rs.4,80,000/-) at Kauvery Medical Center, Trichy on 6-Jan-2019.
After operation, he was fine and continuing his regular checkups for subsequent four months with occasional shortness of breath. He was keep saying that he stomach is so heavy. While trying to find a cause Dr's said that the sutures made to stitch a valve was torn and created 2 holes through which blood started leaking rather then sending to others parts of the body. Day by day, condition has become worse and he could not able to breathe properly.
To fix this, he has to undergo either a angio procedure or open heart surgery again. After consulting various other cardiologists, on 11-June-2019, we admitted him at MMM Hopsital, Mogappair, Chennai to undergo an Angio Procedure (Medical names are mentioned properly in the attached letter from Doctor).
They have taken Endoscope test and found that there are actually 4 leakages not just 2. On 12th of June Dr decided to do a device closure procedure (through nerves) to fix those holes. The procedures were started at 2:30 pm and by 5:30pm, we were informed by a team of doctors that my father started bleeding which can be fixed only by opening the heart again. The operation was made and the bleeding has been stopped gradually.
By gods grace, he is recovering. Due to the above mentioned complications, his stay in ICU is continuing from 12-Jun-2019 to till date(08/08/2019) which is shooting up the bill amount. As we could not pay our bill hospital management informed us to buy the medicines. As we don't have any insurance coverage or property to sell for, we are in need of financial help to pay my fathers hospitalization charges which is more than Rs.15 Lakhs(attached the approximate bill copy handed on 06-Aug-2019). We managed to pay Rs.5,30,000/- but unable to pay the rest. Doctors are expecting that my fathers stay in ICU may extend for 2-3 more weeks(approximately till end of August 19).
I kindly request each and every one you to help me save my father. We need your support to bring my father back home.
