Story

"My world is empty and full of sadness. This life seems like a long road with never-ending suffering. I am dying in desolation, unable to bear the burden of life alone. Why did this pandemic take away my husband? Was this not enough that now my son is confined to bed? What wrong did I do to deserve this life?" Aslam's mother is crying over her fate.

June 2021 was the most unfortunate time for a 12-year-old Aslam and his mother. The young boy was heating with fever when his mother came home. Being a single parent, she was puzzled and worried and rushed him to the nearest clinic. The doctor injected into his lower back to normalise the fever. After returning home, Aslam found it hard to balance and stand on his feet. It was hard for him to walk.

A poor mother broke into pieces when she realised that due to the doctor's negligence, her child got Sciatic Paralysis. It was hard for her to accept the reality as she could not overcome the loss of her husband yet. Aslam cannot walk or stand properly due to complete paralysis of the sciatic nerve.

He experiences severe pain in his lower back due to increased pressure on his back. It is even hard for him to bring his thighs together with the weakening of thigh muscles. At times he experiences numbness in his legs. He is dependent on his mother and sisters for doing necessary activities. Therefore he is in dire need of medical treatment.

"My child is helpless. He can't even stand on his feet. No one is there to help us. If his father were alive, he would have done something to treat our child. I can't even feed my children properly. How will I afford his treatment? I want my child to be independent. Please help me." Aslam's mother requests help for her treatment.

Aslam's father, Late Punnu, died during the first wave of Covid in May 2020. His mother, Jannatul Begum, works as a maid in neighbouring houses. After cleaning and cooking all day, she can't even afford two meals a day. Aslam's mother has to solely look after her ailing child, do all the house chores and work outside to feed her family. She can't afford to lose her son. He is her only support system left in life. She desires proper treatment for her child. Kindly stand with a poor mother in her tough times.

"Will I ever stand on my feet again and walk to school. I can't see my mother crying helplessly because of me. I want to help my mother. She is so lonely in life. God, please heal me." Aslam prays to God for help.

With no father and no permanent roof over his head, each day is challenging for Aslam and his mother. They struggle to survive with pain and hunger. Life is tough for these underprivileged people and, diseases make it worse. Kindly come forward to heal Aslam to make his life worthy.

Your support can only make their life better. Don't waste even a single minute. Aslam is waiting, and your love and blessings can gift him a new life, and he can stand on his feet and become a responsible member of his family. We will be very grateful to you for your support and blessings for Aslam.
