Last year, Asif, a resident of North East Delhi had a baby girl during very difficult circumstances, with the consequences of the carnage that occurred in Delhi, and then the new lockdown due to the pandemic, which still continues sporadically. The person had already been out of work since the carnage, and was unable to cater to the needs of the newborn since there was no constant source of income.

On top of that, recently, the newborn was diagnosed with double aortic arch which needed to be operated upon as soon as possible. We tried reaching out to people for donations but couldn't collect more than a few thousands. So, Asif had to borrow Rs 2.5 - 3 lakh from local lenders. As the baby needs more medical assistance, the person has been reduced to borrowing money and is almost at the verge of handing over his property papers to save the life of his baby. We are hoping to raise money for him so that he can at least clear off the acquired debt and sustain his family.
