About Indian Rover Challenge 2020
Indian Rover Challenge is the only robotics and space exploration competition of its kind in Asia-Pacific. The competition challenges high school and college students to design and build next generation Mars Rover and compete in Mars simulated conditions. The purpose is to make Rover, which can assist astronauts in revealing the hidden secrets of our planetary neighbour. It aims to ignite and encourage the spirit of innovation amongst young engineers as they set on a quest to build a space exploration rover, using their skills and ideologies. The competition promotes the acceleration of functional prototypes for the advancements of technology in the modern era. It tends to help students to explore new horizons as they deepen their knowledge in space exploration and they put their theories into practice and grasp the technical aspects more effectively.

About Mars Rover Society
Indian Rover Challenge is a part of the Rover Challenge Series of the Mars Society. Mars Society South Asia is an international non-profit space advocacy organisation dedicated to advancing the scientific study, exploration, and public understanding of cosmos, in particular, the human exploration and settlement of planet Mars. The organisation also focuses on the applications of robotics in space exploration and interplanetary missions.
Mars Society South Asia (MSSA) is the official South Asian chapter of the Mars Society (Wikipedia link) (official website), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting exploration and human settlement on the planet Mars.
The organization is also involved in the conduction of various competitions and events to promote and encourage Mars exploration and research. International Mars rover competition Indian Rover Challenge is the flagship event of MSSA which held annually.

Event Purpose
We aim to create the perfect platform for all the Indian and foreign students to showcase their robotics skills.
Providing new insight and solutions in the field of space exploration and applications of robotics in interplanetary missions is the goal of Asia-Pacific’s only Rover design competition, the Indian Rover Challenge.
Also, competitive competitions like these produce new innovative methods and technologies to tackle existing problems and bottlenecks.
We also plan to provide our supporters the optimum platform for brand marketing that they require.

Indian Rover Challenge is an event in which young engineers employ their skills, time, talent, money and efforts to construct an efficient robot for the competition. Due to the lack of funds and resources, our team faces shortcomings to conduct the competition. Hence, we need your support to bring this event to life with its full caliber.
