Hello friends, I have reached out to you for a very urgent concern which is related to crying Ecosystem of lower Himalayan areas of Uttarakhand state in India.

I am Managing Director of a company and trying to devote as much time and resources to contribute to save environment and ecosystem of that area, as it impacts a lot to neighbouring states as well as regarding rains , water flowing down from the rivers of Uttarakhand.

These areas are in an alarming situation because  of unplanned exploitation in the name of tourism and unorganised development without taking any care about the ecosystem and nature.

We have recently started an aggressive awareness campaign by involving schools, local bodies so that better ways of waste disposal in hilly areas, control on forest fire, stopping excessive concentration of tourists at just 4-5 destinations could be initiated by doing it in a planned manner. Very soon we will launch a website on this also which will give regular updates to people.

Many rivers starts from this hill state and this exploitation is badly affecting these rivers , which will very soon create a big problem of drinking water and rest of the ecosystem in this hill state and neighbouring states.

We being very well versed with the interior parts of the state, want to initiate this campaign before its too late.
