The vision of the organization is to see that it is humane, harmony in the community where its people live with dignity, fulfill basic amenities, well-informed citizens, and where there is an equal opportunity, social justice prevails and free from exploitation whatsoever.
The mission is to organize, skill-building, zero drops out among children, empower the marginalized communities, and facilitate them to come to the mainstream, participate equally, and claim their rights.
The organization working for the past 19 years in 78 villages of Lingsugur and Maski Taluks of Raichur District, Hungund Taluk of Bagalkot District, Karnataka.
NGAS has 74 Women SHGs and having 1116 members, 62 Farmers Group has 1247 members, 24 Youth Groups having 483 members, 35 Children Groups having 629 members. Two Women Federations and one Farmers’ Federation. 2 Child Labour schools running with the support of the National Child Labour Project (NCLP). There were 100 children in the centers. One Centre is in Mudgal and another center is in Lingsugur.
NGAS is a Vocational Training Provider that has been recognized by the Government of Karnataka and the Government of India.
During the lockdown, NGAS distributed COVID -19 Relief Materials to the daily wage laborers and nomad community in Lingsugur and Maski Taluks, Raichur District, Karnataka. With support from philanthropists and well-wishers, we have provided dry ration items to 500 families. This is not enough and it is a drop of an ocean. Still, their livelihood and food security are at stake.
Hence we request you to raise funds for the distribution of dry ration to 2000 families of Maski and Lingsugur Taluks, Raichur District. Each family cost Rs.550/- ( 5 KG Rice, 2 KG Wheat Flour, 1 KG T.Dal, I KG Edible Oil, Turmeric powder – 100 gram and Sat – 1KG). Total Cost of Rs. 550 x 2000 families = 11 Lakhs. Kindly support the marginalized so that they can survive, their food security can be ensured and can be reduced malnutrition among the children.
