Asha (33), our domestic help, had her whole life turned upside down in a matter of a night, when she received a call that her husband - the main breadwinner of their family, died after a sudden cardiac arrest less than a week ago.
Her husband Raja, lost his job as a security guard in the middle of the pandemic last year, and had recently started working as a food delivery agent. On the night of his death, he was out on a delivery when he felt uncomfortable, stopped at the side of the road and fell unconscious, a passerby called an ambulance and took him to the hospital where he was put on the ventilator, he suffered a brain haemorrhage due to sudden cardiac arrest and passed away.
Asha has two children, a daughter, Alisha aged 14 and a son, Mingma aged 13, to look after, and works as a full-time domestic help at our house. She unfortunately has no savings and has been left to fend for herself. Though we are doing everything we can to help her, a small contribution from you will go a long way in helping her support her family. Please help her in any way you can to build her new life from scratch after this unbearable loss.
