A girl without education is like a bird without wings. Support “SAKHI ” and give wings to their dreams.

 

In Nuapada , Odissa   based 80G & FCRA Certified NGO , ASHA     . trying to raise awareness about the importance of education in Nuapada . Since last 3 years, Several Women/female , widow , victim of domestic & sexual violence , divorcee  are being provided with the basic resources of education and women empowerment by the NGO 

 

Now They are trying to start a free Stitching Knitting in rural areas of Nuapada for underprivileged concerned ladies.

They also provide free Yoga & Meditation classes and Self Defence classes on the weekends, which help them regain their confidence and health. They are already started free Tuition to some Underprivileged ladies class also.

 

The main aim of this initiate is to make these girls self sufficient, end stop the illegal  practices like child marriage and child labour.

 

This programme aims at transforming the perception of the people from the slum  areas about girl education and their rights. 

Education is the only medium by which we can provide equality to the girls of this country and make them rely on their own sword.

 

Together we can empower them and make this society a better place to live in.

Main Objective

Educating, Empowering & Enhancing Vocational skills of 40 Girls from economically backward families through tailoring & life skills training classes.

Specific objectives

1- To identify & train 40 potential & interested  girls in stitching

2- To educate& aware girl about life skills & family system

3- To provide stitching machine supporting in establishing self-business unit

4- To enhance employability skills of trainees

5- To enhance entrepreneurship skills of trainees

6- To provide certificate in tailoring

 

Two Months Basic Class in Tailoring

This is a very useful course designed for people who wish to learn various design patterns to make garments.Here all the necessary and important dresses for everyday use is taught. Pursuing this course will enable a person to understand the different aspects of pattern making and tailoring in a shorter time frame.
