Covid relief food packs for widows and daily wage earners.
My name is Asfia Fatima and I am president of gareeb Nawaz mahila Samkhya(Community group). Before the pandemic my husband and I ran a small school and social service center here in Hyderabad, India. It got closed due to pandemic. My smakhya consist of about 120+ women all of whom are from slum area and daily wage earners. Due to covid19 lockdown many of these women could not find work and are struggling to put food on their table.
Majority of these women are widows and has no one in their family to support them. Majority of them are now selling handmade stuff, toys and are forced to go door to door to sell it just to eat for the day. Last month I made a fundraiser and we raised money to feed 50 families.
The distribution details can be found in the images and also in the link below. We have record of all the people benefited and that can be found in the images as I have made tables and list of everything donated. These women are working as hard as they can and small donations would mean a lot to them.
Last time we helped 50 families and a lot of families are left out because of lack of funds. There are a lot more families left that need support. I want to help all of the women that are in my smakhya, a total of 120+.

Masoor 2 kg
Mash dal 2 kg
oil 2 liters
Sugar 1 kg
Mirch 1/2 kg
Soap bars 4
