I wish that this day had never come in our lives. It was in last July of 2018 when my husband felt a little uncomfortable and suddenly started breathing heavily in his office. Initially we overlooked all the symptoms but as the problem aggravated he went through a lot many diagnostic tests. My husband’s hemoglobin had gone down to 2.2; it was hard to believe. Finally, pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) was identify and we realized that the absence of RBC’s in the bone marrow has stopped the production of blood in his body and he has been surviving on blood transfusion that is done in every 45 days. He is indeed going through a lot of physical pain and simultaneously he is worried about our well-being.
We managed to fund his treatment with cashless facility given by his office and of course with support of my friends & family who supported me at this hour of need, but now the expenses are going beyond my control. Moreover, my husband is the sole bread earner for my family that includes my 7-year-old daughter, a 2-year-old son along with me and my mother-in-law. I am financially drained and in dire need of support to keep up with my husband’s treatment, medication & blood transfusion. According to doctors it would take around 2 years for blood transfusion to stop/stabilize - just a guess by the hematologist, it may even take longer. So please contribute!
