Jitesh Kumar, a Teach for India Ahmadabad alum of 2015, is currently in a deep crisis due to his family condition.
His mother, who is a last stage cancer patient, is in a very critical state in the ICU in Ranchi.
Recently, his dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Jitesh had to leave his mother and take his dad to Kolkata immediately, as he was in extreme pain. He got him admitted at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata, and doctors have said that the primary treatment would cost around 9 lacs.
One after the other the family has been battling with crisis situation, and they have exhausted all their savings. He's already spent around 1lac in travelling and getting his dad admitted.
All his career life Jitesh has devoted his time working for schools and the education of children from under-served communities.
