House of Paws- Stray Dogs Shelter

Millions of stray dogs live on the streets of India. Most are direct descendants of their feral canine ancestors.

With the recent increase in popularity among Indians of full breed dogs, more and more street dogs are abandoned pets or have bred with pet breeds.

Unfortunately, fear and ignorance have led many Indian citizens and officials to see street dogs as nothing but a nuisance and to seek eradication using inhumane methods such as poisoning and beating. But for every dog killed, another typically comes in to take over that dog's territory.

We are making shelter for stray dogs in Punjab as well as in New Delhi in collaboration with FRIENDICOES  to combat above issues and in order to provide them adequate facilities.

Any kind of help will be highly appreciated. It can be in form of adoption, volunteering as well as donation.

The amount donated by you will be used for following purposes:
1) Paying fees to doctors for treatment and medicines :  Rs. 1,20,000
2) Renting a place and making multiple shelters: Rs 2,30,000
3) Providing food and clothes: Rs 1,00,000

Thousands of stray dogs in India depend on food and waste from markets, restaurants and grocery shops. But with coronavirus sending people into isolation and public establishments shutting down, strays are having a hard time finding food. I have found stray dogs that are restless and run from one place to another in search for food. Some of my regular dogs are missing as I couldn’t go out for days. We don’t have enough volunteers or resources to cover each area. It’s a humble request from my side to support my campaign and help with whatever you can.

Treatment is already done. We have arranged dog beds, dog food and their clothes for proper living conditions. Shelter work is still to go as we are short of funds. We will be launching another campaign shortly. Thank you all for contributing. It means a lot.

Since, we are short of funds as of now, we’ve started ordering food and clothes for the dogs meanwhile of the funds available so as to take care of their health.

After receiving the funds for their treatment and their shelter, we’ll start that activity as well.
