Arnab is 22 years old. Courageous, kind hearted and a radiant young boy; ever ready to go to the front line to help the needy ones. That was until the 16th August 2020. Now he is fighting a different battle in the ICU bed of the Dispur GNRC, Guwahati, Assam, India. And, probably the most crucial battle of his life. Now, he needs the same society he stood for to stand for him.
Arnab Jyoti Deka is pursuing his Bachelor of Arts (Sociology major, 2nd year) from the reputed Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Vishvavidyalaya, Barpeta, Assam. He is not just a student of Sociology but also a committed social worker who was busy during the floods in Assam arranging relief aids for the affected people. He was also actively volunteering to help the people in the COVID19 infected areas and spread awareness. He is a budding journalist as well.
This is how fate unrolled for him:
He met with a serious road accident on the evening of 16 August 2020, on his way to work. He was lying on the roadside unattended, in his own pool of blood, for more than an hour. About an hour later an ambulance arrived and he was admitted to the Sarathi Hospital in Nalbari. He was badly injured and was in a very critical condition when he was admitted. He was rushed to the ICU where his treatments began. There were several internal injuries: splintered cranial and skull bones, a dislocated nose bridge and bruised heart and lung. The very next day, he was transferred to Dispur GNRC, Guwahati, Assam. He is in coma at present and fighting.
Why does Arnab need your help:
Arnab comes from Sarthebari Barpeta, Assam where he lives with his parents and elder sister. His father is a farmer and this itself speaks for the economic background of the family and hence is this crowdfunding. Being a farmer by profession , it is impossible for his father to arrange for his medical expenses.
Arnab was ever ready to work for any social cause and found happiness in it. We need more people like him in our society. Today he is in need of your help and blessings. He needs to be on treatment without any hindrance. He needs to be on the ventilator until his condition improves. He cannot be moved around in this current situation of COVID19 pandemic. We are hopeful that with your help we will get our promising youth back soon, healthy and radiant as ever. We are raising this fund for this cause and WE APPEAL TO YOU TO CONTRIBUTE FOR ARNAB. Funds raised will go towards managing the treatment expenses only.
