We all come across advice that resonates with us and shapes our lives. Arjun and I were fortunate to have heard the above phrase from his father at a young age. Be it studies, practices, chores or lending a neighborly hand, we grew to appreciate that very little in life is an absolute requirement. Rather, they are everyday opportunities to follow through on commitments, better one's situation, help those we love or contribute to a greater good.
Unfortunately, that get was met with a can't on January 13th, 2019. That was the day Arjun and his young family's lives were changed as he received the devastating diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). Among the unfortunate impacts of that news was the immediate interruption of his ability to work.
Complexities around the procedure to Treat the Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) have moved his treatment to KOLKATA on January 14th, 2019. Even in the best case scenario of the surgery and recovery, a mountain of medical and related travel expenses will be coming in as Arjun is in a 5 to 6 month period where even creative endeavors will yield minimal income for his family.
This Funding campaign was created at the insistence of family and friends who know there are countless others Arjun has impacted that don't have the opportunity to join us in providing daily emotional, spiritual and other support to Arjun, Laxmi, Seema, Mewalal & Rina.
So, this is simply a get to opportunity if your life has been impacted by Arjun or his family. The request is for your prayers for a successful surgery and strength & resilience for his family in this trying time.
If you would like to assist with their financial burden, any donation through MILAP would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to Arjun's medical costs and related travel expenses for Arjun and the girls.
On behalf of Arjun & Laxmi, their closest friends, and the entire Rajak family, I appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers, and support shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come.
You didn't have to do it.
