IN SHORT:
Our little munchkin Arhaan has just turned 8 and while he is still a young child, he is quite a warrior too. Arhaan is suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a form of blood cancer. Arhaan is the only child to my sister and brother in law and he has been battling cancer since he was only 2 years old.
My name is Nikhil Ahuja and I am here seeking financial assistance for my nephew Arhaan Nath. Arhaan is quite a method actor and loves to paint, build legos and he definitely cant get over Elsa from the movie Frozen. He loves to discuss childish matters and occasionally uses his superpower (crying) to get his parents to act upon. When you talk to him, you will know he is just not an ordinary child. Arhaan has taught us to become hopeful, patient, faithful and given us the courage to never give up. He is just the most important friend to me in this world.
When the treatment finishes, Arhaan wishes to have a house full of cats and dogs. He also wishes to keep building legos, become an artist and if he is not done with all this, fulfil a role of a scientist too.
THE STORY SO FAR
Arhaan was diagnosed with ALL in May 2016. He suffered with his 1st relapse in November 2019 and while we thought we are done battling cancer, the 2nd relapse happened on 22/02/2022. This is just after attending a wedding of a very dear friend. Arhaan was mad crazy at the wedding even though he didn't have a lot of friends to play with, he kept himself and his adult friends busy with dandiya (a form of Indian dance). Arhaan has been living a quarantined life for 6 years, even before covid-19 hit our lives. During chemotherapy his immunity is not strong enough to fight infections so much so that sometimes a scratch can take days to heal.
Each time cancer comes back, the body's resistance to fight it becomes lower. The doctor has advised us Chemo followed by Immunotherapy followed by Bone Marrow Transplant. We have so far spent close to 2.5 crores on his treatment and during his admission now we have to cover another 70 lacs worth of treatment costs. So far we have covered the expenses from our savings reserve and selling assets.
Arhaan and I wont be conversing much over the next 35 days at least, as the strong meds makes him really cranky. While he rolls back in his cocoon he is most comfortable around his mumma, naani and khandaan (Arhaan's Mami and my wife Akanksha) and likes to talk to them only. He will also miss his doggo brother Scooby (a 14 year old Lhasa Apso). And offcourse, while he's been treated in the hospital Scooby will be busy sniffing Arhaan's scent through out the house.
PLEASE COME FORWARD....
Over the next few days, we will need 70 lacs more for further treatment. At this point we have completely exhausted our funds and we need support to help Arhaan recover from Leukemia.
My bestie's life now depends on contributions from anybody and everybody - please come forward and donate whatever you can, however small.
