For every contribution you make, we promise to show the change we are bringing out through our on-ground initiatives helped by our small army of volunteers.
We plan to mobilize 500 youth volunteers to support 20,000 people in the next 6 months.
I am Archana KR, working as a social worker and now leading an initiative to #Transform Bapujinagar.
As a sanitation educator, I have been closely working with the community. In the last few months, we have directly or indirectly reached out to 3000 people by addressing various problems concerning them. And, a lot more needs to be done for the people here as the area has been neglected.
There are people running from pillar to post to get their name enrolled in the ration card and many others not getting the pension amount that is due to them.
A majority of residents in the neighborhood don’t get piped water supply and are not aware of the importance of proper solid waste management. Many children need digital devices, and other life skill classes to keep them engaged.
As a person who has grown up in a small town with little amenities, I understand the ground realities and the need to empower residents of Bapujinagar. My 12-year experience of working with the youth and women tells me that we need more helping hands to make the voices of these underprivileged people louder to bring change.
To contribute towards this effort we are accepting:
A. gently used items laptops, books, chairs other office items
B. Financial support to facilitate access to govt schemes, health camps, to address civic issues such as potholes, garbage spots, street lights, blocked drains etc.
