I am Aravind Srinivasan, a 17 year old student from Bangalore, India. Due to the recent pandemic (COVID - 19), millions of families have been affected directly or indirectly. Over 3.5 million people have contracted the virus and about 250,000 of them have succumbed to it. During these hard times, many breadwinners of families have lost their jobs due to the economic crisis. These families are now scrambling to even feed their families and take care of their dire necessities. This situation has deeply disturbed me and I feel it is our moral obligation to help fellow citizens in need. As the country starts opening up and restrictions at work places become the new norm, I would like to extend my support to the medical staff working tirelessly to take care of the sick without sufficient PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kits and to the underprivileged, who cannot afford to procure masks and sanitation supplies to keep themselves and their families healthy in these trying times.
I would like to use this opportunity, with your valuable contribution and support, to help me achieve this noble task of procuring masks, gloves and sanitation kits for the underprivileged (including housekeeping staff, maids, drivers, security staff and the homeless) and healthcare workers, who need them desperately.
