Doctor Apurba Pailan is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. He is working very hard to improve the poor conditions of girl children in India. He is trying to address various crucial and fundamental issues - ranging from taboo about menstruation and its complications, child marriage, female feticide, lack of birth control to malnutrition and poverty. As a young gynecologist, he envisions to make India a better place for these girls. Currently, he is conducting counseling sessions, providing educational support, and offering generous free treatment on his own. Nevertheless, limited by his financial capabilities he faces numerous obstacles. I would urge everybody to come forward and take a small step to show support to Doctor Apurba for pursuing a dream which we all share together.
