If you’ve always had access to tampons, pads, cups, or whatever it is you use to manage your period, you might be surprised to learn this isn’t the case for many people around the globe.

As much as 82 of percent women in India still do not know what a sanitary napkin is or what it is used for - an alarming statistic but an even tougher number to counter. So, LET'S TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME.

This basic amenity should be accessible to all. This is what Menstrual Equity is all about. Period poverty and lack of awareness cause a lot of discomfort and disease-prone situations. The concept is real and haunting. This is a global concern, calling to forget the differences between genders and work towards this. Anyone can help, in any meager way they want. We, the period society also work towards this aspect.

Menstrual Hygiene creates a healthy environment for the well-being of women. Making those bleeding period a less stressful one! Disposal of pads doesn't need to be covered in newspapers. Women don't need to hide this. Rather, we should dispense some awareness about the safe and clean period. But what about those who don't have access? Isn't it pathetic that the menstrual cycle becomes so difficult due to period poverty? Let's take a step to create a society treating menstruating women with dignity, dissolving every possible taboo. It's a basic amenity and I repeat it should reach each and every menstruating woman out there.

Period Society Patna proposes educational drives to different government schools and agencies towards this cause.

The period Society on a whole distributes sanitary napkins in regard to menstrual equity. This month this cause has been initiated by Period Society Patna. Let us who has the access to one of the menstrual product, make a change. You can donate in any meager way possible. Let's take period down one pad at a time.

Let's put a period to the stigma.
