Anshu Jha and Yogesh Sharma from Delhi started a campaign in Mussoorie, Uttrakhand - “हंगर” Mussoorie Hunger Campaign. The main objective of this campaign is to help the daily wage labourers, whose lives are affected due to pandemic - Covid-19 drastically. We have listed 75 families as of now and their situation is hard to ignore as they are fighting to get one meal a day. We are looking for organizations to help in terms of food supplies, sanitary supplies, etc. Looking forward to connecting with organizations/Individuals who can lend a hand.

Even though the number of undernourished people has declined significantly in India over the past decade, there are still roughly 189 million men, women and children who sleep hungry (FAO estimates). It is no surprise that the current pandemic has worsened conditions, especially for millions of daily wage workers.

500X500 is a campaign for fundraising to feed these migrant labourer families in the village Barakaichi in Mussoorie as soon as possible.
Our goal is to raise Rs. 2,50,000 (from 500 individuals donating just Rs. 500). This money will directly go to the families and is enough for ration for 45-60 days. It is an effort from our side until these families can find steady sources of income.
