Reach Lives, Bengaluru

Reach Lives is a registered NGO that believes in the empowerment of marginalized communities by helping them to access quality nutrition, healthcare and by promoting sustainable livelihoods. It works closely with these communities to understand their needs. We then function as a platform for service providers including doctors and educators to reach these communities.

Dream India Network Bengaluru

Dream India Network (DIN), is an umbrella organization of several non-governmental organizations, committed individuals, institutions, trainers, researchers, and social workers who have an abiding interest in bringing about lasting changes to the quality of life of ordinary Indians. DIN works with the motto, “If you have a Dream, we have a Plan. If you have a Plan, we have a Platform.

Reach Lives is partnered with organizations like Dream India Network that run foster and care homes in Bangalore. The health and nutrition needs are addressed through Reach Lives' network of healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, nonprofits and volunteers. Additionally, during the 2 waves of COVID-19 thus far, Reach Lives has reached out to needy communities such as migrant workers, day laborers, slum dwellers, and transgenders through donations of food and rations in partnership with the Bangalore Food Bank and the Indian FoodBanking Network, clothes from individual donations and over 50k bottles of supplementary drinks to assist their nutritional requirements.

Utilization of funds:
Funds raised through this initiative will be used to fund 3 components of the proposed project to help every destitute in Bangalore access health and wellness:

a) Ambulance services for the elderly and homeless: Teams will be deployed in all eight divisions of Bangalore to identify and retrieve abandoned and needy individuals and rehabilitate them in our partner network of homes.

b) Mobile Medical Units: Team consisting of health professionals and volunteers will be tasked with monthly visits to all partner homes to organize comprehensive, personalized health outreach camps with pharmaceutical support.

c) Standardize all elderly homes of Bangalore: This component will target homes that are unable to maintain standards and offer a good quality of living to their residents. Funds dedicated to this component will be used to assist under-performing homes through direct financial aid, logistical support, and mentoring to address shortcomings and provide acceptable quality of living for all residents.
