Help My Driver Martin Recover From His Massive Brain Stroke(CVA)

Dear Reader,
My name is Anona Anvitha and I am here to raise funds for my driver, Martin who is 32 years old and has been working with our family for over a year now. He had suffered a massive stroke(Cerebrovascular accident) on 16th February, 2020 due to a clot in his brain. He was immediately rushed to the CMH hospital in Indiranagar, and later in the day was shifted St John's Medical College Hospital and was given the treatment necessary. He is currently on the ventilator in the ICU ward and is paralyzed on the right hand side of his body.
He is a hard-working man who has a wife and two children aged 8 and 11 . He comes from a lower middle class family(below poverty line)and therefore his family is currently unable to take care of the medical expenses required for him on a daily basis. The charges for the ventilator and other medication are exorbitant and he will only be taken off it gradually as his body is currently recovering from a surgery that was conducted to relieve the pressure in his brain and remove the clot. The amount that is required for his treatment is around Rs.6,00,000.
What matters is his health and his ability to support his family and what he needs most right now is support from wherever he can get it. We implore you to stretch your hand forward and donate as much as you find appropriate, for his recovery.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to inform you that Martin is out of danger and has been shifted to the ward. He was gradually taken off the ventilator support and was moved from the ICU to the ward.

He is gradually recovering but the process would be very slow is what the doctor informed us. As of now, he is able to only recognize close family members and us. His brain has lost the function to analyze and understand what we talk about. His right side is still paralyzed and doctors have started physiotherapy. He has lost his speech and hearing capability due to the stroke. Doctors informed us that it will take 5-6 months for his hearing and speech to gradually come back to normal.

On the whole, his recovery will take more than a year and he has to be hospitalized for quite a long time until the doctors feel he can be taken care of at home.

I kindly request you all to pray for his speedy recovery and continue to share this campaign with as many people as possible.

Thank you!

Hello Everyone,

I would like to update you on Martin's current health. I had visited the hospital today and had a discussion with the doctor who is treating him and he informed me that Martin has some lung infection due to which his oxygen levels are fluctuating. They are giving him treatment to reduce the infection and if it works they will remove the ventilator support in a day or two.

The good news is that he opened his eyes a few times and he is sensitive to touch on the left side of his body and is able to recognize his family members as tears rolled out of his eyes when he saw them.

Also, the doctor explained to me that his case was a very rare scenario that they have come across, as he is just 32 years old, they never expected such a young person could get, this massive a stroke. They have sent their medical findings to the analysis department for investigating the cause and other details of such a massive stroke for such a young individual.

The doctor is not sure how many months it would take for his body to recover, as every function/signal the brain sends to all of the organs of the body solely depends on his age and his body's reaction to the surgery.

We believe that God is with him and he would recover soon as he is already showing improvements post the surgery. Please do continue to pray for his recovery.

My family and I are very very grateful to all of you humble kind-hearted people who have supported him and his family. I can't just say, thank you. God bless you all!! Kindly continue to share the link with as many people as possible.
