    Annai Higher Secondary School

    from Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu

80G tax benefits for INR donations

Every child deserves the right to quality education.

The Annai Higher Secondary School in Airport Road, Trichy was set up in 1991 with an aim to provide free education to children who cannot afford it. Since then, it has been the only 'free centre for learning' for rural children primarily girls, including the destitute in and around the Airport area in Trichy.

With 400+ students, lacking basic civic amenities and educational equipment - the school is currently struggling to make ends meet. As the organisation is barely managing to pay fees to the teachers, it has become even more difficult to provide basic necessities and a suitable environment for the kids to learn. Despite all of the above struggles, the children work hard and have been consistently delivering around 94% pass percentage over the past few years and in some years, even managing a 100% pass percentage. From there on, the Tamilnadu Pengal Nala Sangam also assists top-rankers from the school to pursue higher education and technical courses.
The least we can do for these hard-working children is to provide a school which has proper civic, sanitation, and learning amenities.

Your donation will have the power to grant this organisation the support they need to enrich our children, and that is hope for the future.

Your donations will help:
  1. Purchase school tables and benches for the classrooms.
  2. Fix electricity and provide basic lighting and fans.
  3. Provide lab equipment and learning tools.
  4. Improve sanitation facilities by constructing new toilets.
  5. Repair the RO water system to provide clean, drinking water.
  6. Set up a library and after-school programs.
  7. Fix plumbing and repair water leaks in walls.
