“There’s a saying. If you want someone to love you forever, buy a dog, feed it and keep it around.” – Dick Dale
This year has been a roller coaster ride for all of us which had more downs and fewer ups.
But, our little dogs don't know what hit the world so hard that they are left alone on the road without food, shelter, blankets, and any warmth in this freezing weather.
This is not a journey of us, but yours.
How if even one person makes an effort to take care of at least one dog, imagine how many would still be with us.
We started our journey during lockdown where roads were dark and not even a single person was around to feed the stray babies. They got their bread and butter from the leftovers people threw in the garbage but in those times even that was not there as people were so afraid to even step out a bit. From March'2020 we started with a mother and her puppies and slowly from 5..10..15..20 to 35 - 40 dogs now by the end of the year.
The path was difficult to choose as not everybody supports dog feeders and we faced quite a lot of difficulties but it was a path well taken because who needs a human when we have our little munchkins to stay with us, the ones who love you in all conditions.
We have not collected any donations to date and did everything from our own pockets. But as the number grows it's getting difficult for us to manage.
With so many litters around, we need funds to secure their lives as we already lost two of our babies due to Parvo and we don't want these little ones to go away just because we couldn't afford to put them vaccines.
We are trying to build a Safe Heaven on earth for them. We want all our kids to be safe and warm as they are shivering and struggling each night just to see a sunny morning. We at Safe Haven are an appeal for donations which includes expenses for Vaccinations, Blankets, Coats, and Bori’s as the weather outside is dropping each day.
It will mean a lot if you donate even a small amount like 100 rs 200 rs. Every penny counts.
