Hi, I am a student at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute Kolkata. We had a very friendly and loving environment for the animals on the campus and hostel. There were freely roaming cats and dogs in the hostel area and in the campus. But once the lockdown happened in March 2020 forced many students to go out of the hostel. Only a few students were left in Hostel, and in that, only some of them were taking care of the cats. Because of curfew and the fear of the spread of the virus, most of the cats were medically unattended and birth control couldn't happen at that point in time. Few cats also died during the lockdown.
Today there are more than 25 cats in the hostel and more to be born very soon. This overpopulation and general negativity towards cats in students due to the lack of hygiene in the Hostel has made their lives difficult to survive in the hostel.
The solution to the current problem is to 1. Neutre the adult cats, 2. Provide vaccination to all cats & kittens, 3. Give kittens for adoption 4. Find care for cats.
To-Do the above we require funds. So please donate with compassion and love. Help to restore humanity, let's stand for these poor animals, they need us. We are privileged enough to help them, so let's join our hands and help them.
