To Help build An Intensive Care Unit At ALAI Shelter

Animal Lives Are Important ( ALAI) an animal welfare organisation established in the year 2017 in Bangalore rescues & rehabilitates the injured, sick and disabled dogs. We house close to 250 dogs, 2 cows, 2 sheep & 1 goat out of which 190 are permanent dogs (due to various forms of disability) and we rescue anywhere between 80-90 dogs every month
The concern and dilemma now is that the rescue cases are piling up day on day basis where the animals are failing to get any help. With the current infrastructure, neither are we able to accommodate any more and neither these animals in distress are able to get any assistance.
For us to reach out to more street animals, the only option at hand is the dire need to expand in terms of creating more space to take in rescues.
Hence we have planned to come up with an INTENSIVE CARE UNIT to accommodate 80+ dogs .
Our plan is to construct:
For this the estimated funds needed is 10 lakhs which is inclusive material & labour charges

We believe the streets animals are residents to this planet as much as we are, we don't own anything here! We were placed here to merely co-exist with every living being.Thus it is our duty to protect and give them a dignified life in whatever little years of life they have on this Earth.

- 13 large size 10*10 ft kennels made of iron bars and galvanised roofing sheets on a 2000sq ft land (3 lakhs)
- Smooth finish the floor and walls including Tiles on floor to help prevent dragging injuries to spine injury dogs ( 2 lakhs)
- A compound wall at a height of 9 feet with smooth finish (2 lakhs)
- ·2 stainless steel examination tables (40000/- )
- 2 stainless steel surgical tables with drain mesh (60000/-)
- ·Gaseous Anesthesia Apparatus and cylinder (2 lakhs)
