Amphan left a trail of destruction majorly in North 24pargana, South 24 pagans, West Midnapur, East Midnapur. Although entire state is affected, Bt the biodiversity rich Sunderban delta witnessed the worst destruction..
Families who were already living on the brink of poverty amid the lock down, are now left with nothing. Around 10lakh people have been evacuated. Our team Eklavya is on the ground from the very next day. We are already distributed tent materials, dry rations, some medicines in sobong, Haldia.,Bhangar in Midnapur and South 24pargana.. We are also serving for the helpless migrant workers. Almost 1lakh cr property destroyed by the cyclone.. We are planning to go Sunderbans in the very first week of June.
Eklavya is rushing food and other assistance to large number of affected people.. It includes
*1. Tent Items - 1000 (Per Family)*
*2.Dry Rations includes Rice, dal, oil, salt, potato, Biscuits, puffed Rice* -- *700( For one week)*
*3.Hygiene kits including towels, soaps, sanitary napkins, and other basic items to women and adolescent girls - 300*
*4.Mosquito nets, potable water, aqua tab, emergency medicine, Waterproof tarpaulin and floor mats will also been provided - 1000*
*5. Drinking water, - 200*
*6. Milk & babyfood - 500*
