Support for a noble cause:
During this most unexpected and undesirable situation where COVID -19 pandemic lead to the lock-down and is badly affecting the lives of many individuals from different weaker sectors of society, it is need of the hour to realize the social responsibility and take this an opportunity to serve the community.
Unfortunately, there are few sections of society who can't afford a meal either without stepping out or doesn’t have a home to step in and are in need for some help for living. A lot of individuals were left with no food to feed themselves and their families. After all, not everyone has the luxury of getting everything delivered at the doorstep. Do they?
During this crisis, Alumni of LVPEI Optometrists (ALO), an organization formed by the Optometrists who were trained at L V Prasad Eye Institute, has taken a great initiative by coming forward to lend a helping hand to the underprivileged.
To those who are in need, primarily the homeless and the daily wage workers, we want to reach them at the earliest possible and provide basic essentials for living: a meal, food products such as rice, dal vegetables, required medical care, etc.
