Hi, We at AACOU are here to fundraise for the Cab Drivers.
This fund is for the unfortunate drivers who haven't received any kind of support neither from the Government nor from the companies they work with. Since 22nd March'20, the drivers are in a pitiable state. They don't have any savings and were always dependent on whatever they use to earn per day before lockdown. Now the situation has taken such a turn that they don't even have money to feed their family even once a day. They are struggling to survive Due to COVID-19.
The objective of this initiative is to raise funds for these drivers so that food essentials can be provided to them by which they can at least feed their family for a week and till the time cab operations become a bit normal. Please come forward and donate generously. These drivers, no matter what, would always earn their living through hard work. It's just that this time things didn't go as they planned and hence are in need of some help. Remember, when you called them, they were always there. No matter what time it is, they always served you and will always.
The intended distribution of the fund is such that the total amount of 50 Lakhs will be equally allocated amongst 7000 drivers. That would make roughly 700 per driver. With these 700 rupees, provisions like Rice, Flour, Lentils, Cooking Oil, Salt, Vegetables, etc will be procured for them and will be distributed after the campaign is over.
