Mrs Alka Dhar needs the nation to help get her back to India!
From being asymptomatic just weeks ago, she is now drifting in and out of consciousness.
She couldn't get her diagnosis done because no-one has had a week to do a biopsy – the clinicians seem quite certain that she will be shown to have:
• Stage 4 breast cancer, including a 6cm * 8cm lump with deep roots
• The (probable) cancer is shown on CT scan as having spread to her back, spine, and brain.
The Mittaphap ICU doctors are providing “conservative” treatment, giving her oxygen and 5 kinds of medication, including antibiotics
However, any attempt to perform the multiple surgeries she seems likely to need would have to be done in a technologically advanced medical centre.
Due to lack of medical facilities, she needs to be brought to India. But Alka has already been refused travel on a plane from Phnom Penh and in these these times of Covid-19, even medical evacuation for life threatening emergencies is slow and highly conditional.
To make it possible, we need to urgently get an air ambulance support from Vientiane (Laos) to Delhi (India) so that treatment for Alka can be started ASAP.
The nation's daughter needs help, please help us save Alka!
