Post completion of the course he worked as an intern but was working hard to get a permanent job and made living by working temporarily in a firm in Latvia. By the end of 2019 he returned back to our hometown in India to visit us (his family) and friends which was the same time Covid lockdowns happened. This stopped him to move back and was forced to stay in our home town losing his visa and the job he was at.
When things got back to normalcy he got ready to leave the country once again in search of a job in Latvia and that was the same timeline he fell ill with Fever followed by swollen Knees, Back and was not able to walk. So we took him to the nearby Government hospital for treatment where he was admitted for a week and returned home but unfortunately he was not able to walk still. When we consulted a neuro specialist he told us about his condition and that surgeries need to be performed to get him out of this bad situation. Alagesh is also Diabetic so the complexity rose as he is prone to delayed recovery.
He was diagnosed as RIGHT KNEE LEFT HIP SEPTIC ARTHRITIS / TYPE II DM. The doctors have performed few surgeries to fix my brother’s hip and knee - RIGHT KNEE ASPIRATION DONE ON 17.04.2021, LEFT HIP ARTHROTOMY + RIGHT KNEE ARTHROSCOPIC LAVAGE DONE ON 18.04.2021 AND WOUND DEBRIDEMENT DONE ON 23.04.2021.
Our father Selvaraj is a daily wager, our mother is a housewife and I myself have started working in a start up firm in Madurai from 2020. We were relying on Alagesh to get a job overseas to get out family back but with this current situation we were not able to afford the treatment cost. Owing to save him ever we managed to loan some money from people around to get through his surgeries but even after completing the surgery he has been unable to walk and suffers pain and repeated infections.
The doctors have recommended daily physiotherapy and visits to make sure he is back in his shape and can get back to work and help his family, However the cost to undergo further treatment is something we are unable to loan at this moment and seeking help from kind souls around the world.
Please help us save my brother Alagesh whose health and his well being saves our future and happiness.
