Hello all! 

This is Akshay, my father, T M Mahadeva, aged 57 years was being treated for Cirrhosis of Liver due to long-standing diabetes for past 5 years. Our father’s liver cirrhosis turned out to be Acute Liver Failure by showing the first episode of failure – Hepatic Encephalopathy where he was hospitalized for 15 days in Apollo Hospitals Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. 

Since the acute liver failure is the end stage of Liver Cirrhosis, the only option left with us is to have a Liver Transplantation surgery performed.
We have registered for Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation via Sparsh Hospitals in Bengaluru and our father is on the waiting list for the transplantation. Sparsh Hospital has estimated the cost of this surgery as Rs.28,00,000.
