Ajitpal Singh alias “Shallu" passed away on 9th March 2019 in a car accident. He was survived by his wife and a beautiful 14 year daughter. Three months back he had lost his brother and was taking care of his family too and was the only earning member in the family. A dignified and usually fairly cheerful man, who often lived for others, always made it a point to be a part of every friend’s/family’s social functions/gatherings, no matter whatever were his own circumstances. I remember him calling me on regular basis and was the anchor behind the reunion of all our school friends. His favorite line was ‘visit with your family’ on ‘Maghe Ka Mela’. We will always remember him as a dear friend, our wicket keeper cum goal keeper. Without an iota of doubt, I can vouch that he was absolutely selfless, brother with a golden heart & pure soul…we will miss him for sure...
