I am Ajay Salvi (from Dombivali) father of Ms. Ashlesha Ajay Salvi who is 9yrs of age. I hereby would like to share some details about my daughter.

My daughter who has hearing problem and unable to hear.  At the age of six months my daughter got severe fever and we rushed her immediately to the hospital. In the hospital the tests were done but she underwent a  seizure episode on the same day. The doctor gave her treatment and she recovered from it.

But after some months one day when I returned home from Office, I called her but she did not respond, again we tried various ways to check whether she is able to respond but she did not respond to any verbal addresses to her. From that day I started doubting whether my daughter has lost her hearing.

I took her to a specialist at Alibaug who checked her and finally recommended me to take her to Mohite clinic at Panvel for a hearing test. But as we thought the clinic also provided me the same report that she has hearing loss. Then again, we tested at Nair Hospital and Wadia hospital the report came to be the same. We were totally heartbroken on hearing this.

Then we took treatment at ALI YAVAR JUNG NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SPEECH AND HEARING DISABILITIES DIVYANGJAN for 6 yrs. Now she is studying in Rotary School for Deaf and the school has now suggested for hearing aid for my daughter and she is also very good in studies. But the cost of the hearing aid is expensive (estimated cost is around Rs. 1 lakh) and i am unable to afford to pay such an amount.

So, if any organization or individual donor who is ready to help us in procuring this hearing aid for my daughter, it would be extremely helpful for her future and I also would be very thankful for this great help. Right now, a small help also matters to me a lot. Looking forward for your kind help.
