My brother Ajay Lahiri met with a severe accident on 19th June 2019. He has suffered multiple acute fractures on both legs, both arms, hips as well as the face. The jaw is broken from the centre and right eye vision is totally lost. Moreover, he is facing continuous blood loss internal and external.
Initially, the doctors had declared no survival chance because of the severe damage and blood loss. But Ajay kept fighting to survive, now the doctors are trying their level best to make him live which needs multiple surgeries, daily blood supply, non-stop path lab tests, constant dose of extremely costly life-supporting injections and other medical needs.
Ajay who is a bachelor lives a simple life trying teaching the needy for free. He is my younger brother (both parents are not alive) with no earning and is totally dependent on me and my elder brother for all his living resources. He has no medical insurance.
Primarily for the last 20 years, I have been the main person who has been taking care of all his daily needs, from a place of stay to food to medicines etc. As of now, I am a retired with no property, savings or means of earning, I have my own family to support on the meagre pension I receive.
To make him live and come back to his healthy self I require to continue the ongoing hospital care, surgeries and constant medication. It's almost a month since he is admitted, all the money I had is already exhausted. An approximate expenditure of 17 lakhs (including seven major surgery, medicines, pathology charges,etc.) was given by the doctor and I have pushed beyond possibility and paid 7 lakhs until date. Now, due to insufficient funds, we are unable to continue with on-going procedures, life-saving medicines and urgently needed treatment.
In this regards, it's my humble request to kindly help us save my brother and let him get back on his feet. Please consider making a donation. Every little contribution will support his ongoing fight for life.
