The coronavirus pandemic has brought hunger to millions of people around the world. National lockdowns and social distancing measures are drying up work and incomes, leaving millions to worry how they will get enough to eat.
"We'll Die Of Hunger Before Virus Can Kill Us": Migrant Workers
The Janta Kitchen Endeavours
The Janta Kitchen was started to help the people who have been without work and earnings since the country was lockdown on 25 March.
The Janta Kitchen serves food to more than 2000 daily wage earners, contract workers, and migrant laborers.
They also provide milk and medicines to pregnant women and people with special needs.
However, Team Janta Kitchen is trying it's best but it is not enough.
"We are doing it all with limited resources, and every extension in lockdown makes it more difficult.
We wish to serve more people, thousands of people are still waiting for any help.
There are some essential items like milk, soap, toothpaste, etc. which we want to provide. It seems to be difficult for now but hopefully, very soon we would be able to manage the things."
