I am Tapan Adhikari, a common middle class man, hailing from Kolkata, West Bengal, living a simple life with my family. 4 months ago my beloved daughter, Aishwarya was diagnosed with Blood Cancer and our entire life turned upside down from thereon.
My daughter, Aishwarya, a student of Chemistry, recently completed her Masters degree from the Calcutta University securing 88% marks. She was the 1 st rank holder in M.Sc., Dept. of Chemistry, University of Calcutta.
as well as the 1st rank holder in B.Sc. (Hons.), Dept. of Chemistry, Jogamaya Devi College. Apart from being a bright student, she was the lifeline of the family. In my mundane life, she was the one who always kept on smiling and used to always say, “BABA CHINTA KORO NAA… AAMI AACHI TO.”
We don’t have that smile anymore to give me strength. We have already spent around 7 Lakhs, exhausting all our savings and have taken loans from our friends and relatives, from wherever we could and continued her treatment.
But still we need 35 Lacs more for her treatment which involves Bone Marrow transplant.
Aishwarya knows that her father is helpless. Whenever I sit beside her, she still says the same thing, “BABA CHINTA KORO NAA… AAMI AACHI TO.” I can see in her eyes, that she has lost all hope. I want to say the same thing back to her but can not.
I had never thought, that I would be asking for donations from strangers, but would do anything to save my daughter.
I need 35 Lacs for her treatment and my only hope is people reading this post.
