We, Piramal Foundation are working in Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan to provide support to the Government Departments in strengthening and improving the Education sector. Jaisalmer is in Honourable Prime Minister's Aspirational district program. We are working to improve NITI Aayog's education indicators. Under NITI Aayog's guidelines Demonstration schools have been created and in the very first phase 50 schools have been selected. 

Satrangi Dunia initiative is based on the concept of BaLA (Building as Learning Aid). It is an innovative concept towards qualitative improvement in education through developing child-friendly and fun-based learning by using the physical environment in school infrastructure. 

One of the basic idea of BaLA is to paint the walls, corridors and classrooms. For this purpose, we have identified several talented painters who can travel down to Jaisalmer. We need to raise funds for the travel expenses of the volunteers from their base location to Jaisalmer.

For the initial stage, we want to paint 50 Demo schools of Jaisalmer.

There are various beneficiaries of this program. Starting from the volunteers who will a get a chance to explore a new location, showcase their talent before the masses, live and learn about the rural India. Further, the list of beneficiaries will not end with the students, but will start from them. Apart from the students anyone, be it the teachers, people from community who visit the school and observe these paintings will get to learn from these.
