The youth of Madras christian college are wonderfully talented and energetic. The college auditions conducted every year by the college is a vast and glorious platform for showcasing the talents and energy of the students.
Earlier only the hall students were privileged to compete for the shield. A few of our mighty seniors who were non residents came together and wondered, "Why not such a platform for the non residents?"
And that's how streets of Anandhapuram was born.
The opening year of streets of Anandhapuram was a glorious one. MCC students from various hostels came together to practice with the little resources they have. And as this group competed in the college auditions, it grabbed the heart of every MCCian. That year, year of 2017, streets of Anandhapuram stole the limelight in the college auditions.
Since then, streets of Anandhapuram has continued it's legacy.
This legacy of Streets of Anandhapuram would not be possible without the help of many kind hearted souls around. There are many people who trusted in us and our talents and we are determined not to let them down. Since we are an individual group of students, we find it hard to fund for ourselves. The money we collect among ourselves is not sufficient enough, since our students are extremely talented and are looking forward to shine in many cultural events like Eastern dance, Ethnic walk, Mime, Variety entertainment, Western dance and many more events. The fund that we are looking for will help us buy the clothes, ornaments and the make up that we require for the cultural events like Eastern dance and Ethnic walk. We can also buy clothes, paints, brushes and basic materials for the other events like Mime, variety entertainment and other literary and debate events. We are highly obliged to any kind hearted souls since their smallest contribution will be highly useful to the students who are ready to give it their all.
