He was finally moved to the ICU of Apollo Medics (non-covid hospital) on 1st May 2021 when his RT-PCR reports came negative. After meeting his family and the care & support given by the team of doctors at the hospital, Aditya showed improvement in health. The doctors said he will soon be discharged if the positive trend continued. Unfortunately, on 20th May his blood SPO2 levels started dropping and he had to be intubated on a mechanical Ventilator. The doctors suggest his condition is very critical and might require ECMO or even a lung donor.
The family has already spent Rs 20 Lakhs so far on the treatment in the last 40 days. Their savings are now running dry and have approached friends & families. The doctors said there has been extreme damage to both the lungs (~80%) and the treatment will need to continue for another 10-12 weeks.
Aditya was married last year and they had a baby boy in March 2021, and we want to give Aditya every fighting chance possible to be with his family.
