Kalote Animal Trust has been founded and is being run by Sameer Vohra. He left his comfortable life in Mumbai and moved to the serene village of Kalote in Maharashta, India to build a forever home for the forgotten animals of the society. Sameer has dedicated his life for uplifting the lives of the animals that have suffered from illness or cruelty.
Kalote is now a home to over 370 rescued animals including cows, bulls, donkeys, monkeys, goats, cats, pigs, various birds etc. Sameer believes in giving the animal the right atmosphere for recovery and has built enclosures suitable to every specie.
Monthly expenses go up to 5 to 6 lakhs a month which included staff salaries, vet bills, food and maintenance costs over all. We are stuck in neck deep bills and debts.
